Downsizing in Style — Featured in Northshore Home

Our clients loved their hilltop condominium in Amesbury for its views toward Newburyport and Plum Island. When they decided to downsize and live there full time, they wanted the main floor to work beautifully for two people.

We reorganized the spaces so they made sense for daily living. A wall that blocked the view came down, and a floor-to-ceiling storage unit now defines the kitchen, dining, and living areas while keeping them open. The fireplace moved from an awkward corner to a two-sided spot between the living room and bedroom. A new dressing room, with herringbone floors and peacock blue millwork, solved the closet problem.

At the center of the kitchen is a custom mahogany island designed to look like furniture, with details drawn from an antique piece. As I told the magazine, “I take my projects very personally.”
